The "blind" rivet, more commonly known as a "break-away" rivet, is a high performance, non-detachable fastening system. It allows two or more mechanical systems to be joined together. There are many types of blind rivets. Standard rivets defined according to the NF EN ISO 14588 standard as well as "made-to-measure" rivets with very specific functions, dimensions and mechanical resistance.

The rivet body

The body of the rivet is the deformed element. It secures the different mechanical elements together.

The rivet nail

The rivet nail allows the body to be deformed during the crimping process in order to ensure an ideal fit between the various elements to be assembled. The impression of the latter is forged by means of a tool composed of 4 tungsten carbide jaws, designed, developed and manufactured in the 4F company's own design office.
