I'm going to attach a fake candy dispenser that I made using two 200mm diameter PVC elbows and a plexiglass tube of the same diameter, to a self-supporting plywood base using inserts. The base is a 600mm wide by 1800mm high plywood panel. It will be painted. On this base, I've attached two 18mm plywood discs that have the same diameter as the inside of the PVC elbows. The two ends of the dispenser will then fit into these two discs. On the edge of these two discs, I'm attaching four screw-in inserts. The screws I'm buying will allow me to attach the dispenser by screwing into the inserts.
