Installing wood cladding / I chose this type of screw the first time I did cladding; I'm doing the second part of my project Installing wood cladding: fixing the wood cladding (190 x 22 Douglas fir planks) onto a 60x40 frame

To properly fix it to my self-supporting ceiling, I chose to use A2 stainless steel chipboard screws, 5x50 mm, with a countersunk head (TF) and a Pozi drive. These screws are ideal for indoor use, especially in rooms where there may be a little humidity, such as a bathroom or a kitchen, thanks to the A2 stainless steel which resists corrosion well. The 5 mm diameter gives good strength, and the 50 mm length allows it to pass through the plates and anchor well in the joists or wooden reinforcements. The countersunk head is super practical: it fits well into the wood or chipboard, so once screwed in, nothing sticks out. It's clean, neat, and avoids annoying excess thickness if I have to glue something on top or fix another element.
