I'm using it to attach slatted wood planks to a terrace railing on a mountain chalet. The planks are actually fir tree and heart designs cut with a plunge saw. Each plank is 26mm thick, which I'm attaching to a 26mm rail. Since the screw goes slightly into the wood, I can't choose a 50mm length (the total thickness is 52mm), so I'm using 45mm so the screw doesn't come out the other side.
